This appointment will take ownership for end-to-end operations/supply chain activities (excluding procurement) for the wholesale division. The job holder will be responsible for the overall direction and management of operations and will be responsible for supply chain optimization, warehouse and transport management as well as design and implementation of new logistics models. S/he will work closely with the country operations directors and division IT to implement best practice processes. A strong leader is required for this role; someone who can continue to strengthen operations activity, acting as an influencer from the centre on all strategic supply chain issues within a highly decentralised operating model.
This role will not have responsibility for day-to-day supply chain activities in-country, but will have a broader, over-arching brief for defining and developing international operations strategy and the blueprint for the future. The operations directors, based in-country, will have a dotted line of reporting into this role and will report directly in to each country/regional GM. This role will have responsibility for a small team at the centre involved with operational strategy, supply chain/operations re-engineering and driving best practice and efficiency savings.
This position will command a six figure salary package.
