Jeff is a member of Spencer Stuart's global Technology, Communications & Media Practice. He has been pivotal in the strategic planning of the firm's technology and communications initiatives and is an experienced recruiter of CEOs, directors and senior executives. Jeff has led important projects across the practice including the telecommunications, computing technology, software and IT sectors. He also founded Spencer Stuart's international Bridge Project, which advances the firm's global reach and coordinates its international activities on behalf of clients.
Jeff also manages the firm's Montreal, Toronto and Calgary offices and is a member of the firm’s board of directors.
Before turning his focus to executive search in 1994, he co-founded a unique valet laundry service business and an electronic business-to-business real estate-based offering, providing to select clientele.
Jeff has significant experience in the global recruitment of CEOs to Canadian-based organizations, including: TELUS Corporation, Bruce Mau Design, Oxford Properties, Certicom, Cinram International, Gennum Corporation, Jetform/Accelio, Leitch Technology Corporation, McGraw-Hill Ryerson, Nelson Education, Oracle Canada, Psionteklogix, Silanis Technology and Sierra Wireless. He also has worked globally to recruit executives to technology organizations based outside of Canada such as the CEOs for Siemens Enterprise Communications, AlaskaTel (Alaska), Leap Technology (California), Broadwing Communications (Texas) and TELUS International (Hong Kong). Jeff’s global knowledge and skill, providing access to a broad-based global community, has ensured that these worldwide searches have met the increased requirement for Canadian-based organizations to recruit the highest level of talent.
He has been a guest speaker on topics ranging from executive leadership and succession to recruiting within a global talent pool. He has been interviewed by a number of international publications and has authored studies on leadership in the high technology and real estate sectors.
Jeff sits on the Board of Upopolis, a private social utility that connects young patients in hospitals with community, friends and family around them. A graduate of the Canadian Junior College in Lausanne, Switzerland, Jeff holds a B.A. in Economics from the University of Guelph.
