Bill Reeves is a senior member of the firm's global Financial Services, Financial Officer and North American Board & CEO practices. He previously managed Spencer Stuart’s search practice in the Southeastern region of the United States from 1991 to 2001 and returned to manage the Atlanta office from 2006 through 2010. In the interim, he served on Spencer Stuart’s worldwide board of directors and on the partner nominations committee for two terms and subsequently on the board nominations committee.
With more than 30 years of experience in the executive search profession and a prior career in banking, Bill has successfully conducted searches for board directors, CEOs, presidents, COOs and CFOs in diverse industries. His active search practice today is concentrated on board director and CFO assignments in all industries. In financial services, his primary expertise is in retail/consumer banking. Bill has been recognized by his Spencer Stuart partners with the prestigious McGinley Award for his outstanding contributions to the firm and to the profession. He currently serves as chairman of the board succession committee for Spencer Stuart and recently received the 2011 Lou Rieger Quality Award for client service.
Before joining Spencer Stuart, Bill was a managing vice president and partner with another international search firm, where he was a practice leader in financial services (insurance). He began his career in banking with the First National Bank of Atlanta (now Wells Fargo), where he held management positions in human resources, credit administration, corporate banking, retail banking and business development. Bill holds a B.S. degree in industrial management from Georgia Tech and an M.B.A. from Georgia State University. He has participated in continuing education and executive development programs throughout his career.
