Mark Ciolek is a member of the Industrial Practice, where he focuses primarily on assignments for senior-level roles in the energy sector. With more than 25 years of corporate and consulting experience in the energy industry, Mark brings to his role a deep understanding of the talent pool, leadership needs and recruiting challenges of the energy sector.
Before joining Spencer Stuart, Mark was vice president of corporate strategy for Exelon Corporation. In that role, he supported the CEO and executive committee on matters of strategic importance to the corporation and directed all key strategic initiatives. Prior to that, he worked at Ernst & Young, where he developed and grew an advisory services practice focused on strategy and business analytics for the utility sector. Previously, he served as partner in charge of the Central business unit of PriceWaterhouseCoopers’ national energy consulting practice. In that position, he led a 12-person strategy team serving the utility and petroleum sectors.
Mark holds a bachelor’s degree in business administration from the University of Michigan and a master's degree in management from the Kellogg Graduate School of Management at Northwestern University.
