Tom Putrim is a member of the firm’s Financial Services Practice. In his work for the Consumer Financial Services Practice, he focuses on serving regional and community banks in CEO succession, and recruiting board directors and other senior business and functional leaders, with a particular emphasis on North America. Tom is also an active member of Spencer Stuart’s Board and CEO Practice, Financial Officer Practice, and Marketing Officer Practice, as well as the firm’s Global Banking & Markets Practice, and the Asset Management and Private Wealth Management practices. Tom has nearly 20 years of executive search experience covering financial institutions.
Prior to joining Spencer Stuart, Tom was a member of the Global Financial Services Practice of another leading international executive search firm. Tom began his career with American National Bank (now part of JPMorgan Chase) as a member of the Trust Investments Group.
Tom is a native of Chicago. He received his Bachelor’s degree in English and Sociology, as well as a business certificate, from Indiana University. He was a founding member of the Sunshine Board of Northwestern Memorial Hospital in Chicago, a foundation dedicated to liver disease research and organ and tissue donation.
