Emmelyn M. O’Meara is a member of the firm’s Consumer Goods & Services and Retail, Apparel & Luxury Goods practices. She brings over 20 years of experience in retail and executive search to her role. Emmelyn conducts assignments for a wide spectrum of consumer organizations with an emphasis on retail, consumer goods and private equity-backed retail/consumer companies. She focuses on senior-level operations, general management, marketing and merchandising roles.
Before joining Spencer Stuart, Emmelyn was at another leading international search firm for 10 years as a consultant in its consumer practice. Prior to that, she spent 8 years with The Gymboree Corporation during its high-growth period in a number of key merchandising and human resources roles. Before entering the merchandising arena, she held leadership roles at Gymboree in human resources involving executive recruiting and organization development. As director of executive recruiting, Emmelyn successfully led executive-level searches across all disciplines. She began her career in human resources at Young & Rubicam in New York.
Emmelyn holds a bachelor’s degree in business management from Loyola University, Maryland. She is fluent in Spanish.
