Jeff Hyler is a member of Spencer Stuart’s global Energy and Human Resources Practices and is based in the firm’s Houston office.
Since joining Spencer Stuart, he has led CEO, COO, and other senior-level assignments across the energy value chain including power generation, transmission, distribution and energy marketing, trading and risk management. Areas of focus include commercial nuclear power generation, engineering, construction and related services. As a key member of the Human Resources Practice, he also conducts senior-level human resources searches across multiple industries.
Prior to joining the firm, Jeff was a partner in Towers Perrin’s executive compensation and rewards practice, and was a leader in the firm’s energy and utility practice. At Towers Perrin, many of Jeff’s assignments involved ongoing advisory work with senior management and outside directors on a variety of topics including compensation strategy development, annual and long-term incentive plan design, executive perquisite programs, employment contracts, change-in-control agreements, competitive pay analysis and outside director pay. In 10 years at Towers Perrin, Jeff worked with more than 50 energy companies to help align their rewards programs to their business strategy.
Jeff served for eight years as a flight officer in the U.S. Navy. He received his M.B.A. from Tulane University and a bachelor of arts from The George Washington University.
