Sherry Ding co-leads Spencer Stuart's Financial Officer Practice in the Asia Pacific region and is also a member of the firm's Consumer Goods & Services and Private Equity practices.
Prior to Spencer Stuart, Sherry worked with two leading consulting firms and spent three years with a local commercial bank. She was a principal at A.T. Kearney, where she led the strategy and organization practice and co-led the consumer goods & retail practice of the firm's Greater China office. Prior to that, she worked for The Boston Consulting Group and Bank of Communications.
Throughout her career, Sherry served a wide range of clients, including multinational and local companies as well as government bodies in areas ranging from strategy to operations and implementation. This experience has allowed Sherry to fully understand the complexity of doing business in China. Sherry's work has spanned the consumer goods, retail, automotive and financial sectors.
As an expert in strategy, organization and human resources topics, Sherry has been quoted in leading media such as The Wall Street Journal Asia, BBC news, CNBC and China Daily. She also has published articles in leading magazines including Harvard Business Review, Sino-Foreign Management and China Entrepreneur.
Born in China, Sherry also has lived and worked in the United States and Singapore. She holds a Bachelor of Economics from Fudan University and an M.B.A. from Kellogg School of Management, Northwestern University. She speaks Mandarin Chinese and English.
