Hélène Vareille joined Spencer Stuart in June 2007 as a member of the Industrial Practice in Paris.
Prior to joining Spencer Stuart, Hélène worked for seven years as a consultant, first with Mercer Management Consulting and then as a partner with ESL & NETWORK, a firm specializing in strategy, lobbying and corporate business intelligence, where she led the energy and utilities practice.
Prior to entering consulting, Hélène worked in the industrial sector for 18 years, primarily for Vallourec, a French metallurgy company, where she held various positions, starting as business controller in a production unit and then moving to purchasing, sales, and financial activities, finally serving as the managing director and CEO of an international affiliate company with sales and production activities in Europe, North America and Asia. It was while managing this company, whose main activity is focused on the power generation equipment market, that Hélène began acquiring an in-depth knowledge of the world energy industry.
Hélène is a graduate from ESSEC (Ecole Supérieure en Sciences Economiques et Commerciales) in Paris. In addition to her native French, she also speaks fluent English.
