Alexis Stiles currently serves as the Practice Leader for Spencer Stuart’s Healthcare Services Practice. This includes assignments for leading hospitals, health systems, academic health sciences universities, physician practices, payers and other healthcare system specialty companies. She brings more than 15 years of healthcare leadership experience to the firm and specializes in academic healthcare as well as C-level recruitments across the broad spectrum of healthcare services.
Prior to joining Spencer Stuart, Alexis was a managing director at The Advisory Board Company, a membership-based company providing business strategy, operations and general management best practice research and analysis to the healthcare industry. In this capacity, Alexis led the consulting practice focused on cost reduction in hospitals and health systems. Alexis began her professional services career at McKinsey & Company. There, she was a leader in the payer/provider practice, heading up multiple strategy and revenue growth engagements at major academic medical centers and multi-hospital systems.
Earlier, Alexis held several positions at Duke University Health System, including director of new business development and financial reporting for the physician group practice and medical economics manager for the health system. In both of these roles, Alexis managed a team of financial analysts and worked extensively with both hospital and physician leaders.
Alexis is a graduate of both the University of Michigan’s Ross School of Business and the School of Public Health, where she earned her M.B.A. and M.H.S.A. degrees. She also holds a B.A. with high distinction in psychology from the University of Michigan’s School of Literature, Science and the Arts.
