Gerhard Krassnig joined Spencer Stuart’s Vienna office in September 2005. With more than 20 years of executive search experience, Gerhard has managed searches across many sectors within Central and Eastern Europe. He has executed a significant number of prestigious assignments, including searches for non-executive directors and advisory board members. Today, Gerhard leads the Clean Technology Practice in Europe the Middle East, Africa and India (EMEA/India).
Immediately after obtaining his master’s degree, Gerhard spent several years working with a multinational consumer electronics firm, where he was responsible for efficiency management and industrial controlling. He entered the search industry in 1987 and became a partner of a leading European search firm. There, he led the international information technology practice on a pan-European basis.
In 1998, Gerhard joined one of the leading global search firms and became a partner and managing director of the firm’s Austrian operations. For the next seven years, he focused on board and senior management appointments across all functions for national and multinational companies.
Gerhard studied industrial engineering and business administration at the Technical University of Graz, where he also earned a master’s degree with distinction.
