Dr. Charles M. Falcone is the head of Spencer Stuart’s Chicago office and a consultant within the firm's Life Sciences Practice. As a board certified anesthesiologist with more than 20 years of healthcare experience, Charlie specializes in and is a leading national consultant on CEO and senior-level physician searches in healthcare services and industry spaces. He specializes in recruiting senior-level leaders for academic and non-academic health systems, including CEOs, deans, presidents and board level assignments. He also performs senior-level search work for pharmaceutical, biotechnology and medical device companies.
Prior to joining Spencer Stuart, Charlie was the medical director for the Feinberg Operating Rooms at Northwestern Memorial Hospital and faculty member at Northwestern University Medical School. He also held the position of clinical director for the Department of Anesthesiology. He has extensive experience in operating room and hospital operations, an area he has published and spoken on nationally. Charlie began his career with the Anesthesia Associates of Massachusetts at the Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center and was on the faculty of the Harvard Medical School.
Charlie serves on the Board of Directors of the Chicagoland Chamber of Commerce, the Advisory Board of Accretive Health (NYSE: AH), is a member of the Harvard Club of Chicago, and is a past member of the Allandale Association Board of Trustees. Charlie received his M.D. from the Pennsylvania State University College of Medicine, and performed his residency and fellowship at the Massachusetts General Hospital and the Harvard Medical School. He earned his M.B.A. from the J.L. Kellogg Graduate School of Management.
