A member of Spencer Stuart’s Life Sciences Practice and leader of the global Pharmaceuticals Practice, Bill Clemens, III, focuses on conducting senior-level executive searches for a range of functions including sales and marketing, R&D, human resources, legal and finance for biotechnology and pharmaceutical companies. Bill joined Spencer Stuart from another leading executive search firm, where he served as the managing partner of its Greenwich, Connecticut, office and led the worldwide pharmaceutical practice.
Bill has more than 20 years of experience in the healthcare industry in the areas of sales, marketing, client services, business development and general management. He started his career with Janssen Pharmaceutica, a Johnson & Johnson Company, in a sales and sales training role, followed by a product management role for Forest Laboratories. Bill then moved to the pharmaceutical services side of the business joining Clinical Communications, a medical education and communications company, as director of client services. Upon the sale of Clinical Communications, Bill, along with a group of colleagues, formed PharmaCom Group, a medication education and consulting firm. In this role as partner and vice president, he oversaw all sales, marketing and operational roles.
Bill earned his M.B.A. in marketing, as well as a bachelor’s degree in management and psychology, from the University of Connecticut.
