Stewart Lumsden joined the Chicago office of Spencer Stuart in October of 1998 as a member of the Consumer Goods and Services Practice, focusing primarily on senior-level sales and marketing, supply chain and general management assignments. In addition to being a member of the marketing and sales practice, Stewart leads the firm’s Supply Chain Management Practice in North America. Over the course of his career, Stewart has recruited for a broad number of consumer goods manufacturers, business-to-business organizations and private equity portfolio companies.
Within the Consumer Goods & Services Practice, Stewart has successfully completed senior executive searches for well-known branded companies including TaylorMade Golf, Miller Brewing Company, Godiva Chocolate, Diamond Foods, Harman International, Michelin Tire, Exclusive Resorts, H20+, Duane Reade and Hershey Foods.
Stewart's private equity portfolio clients include Sturm Foods, Homax, Direct General, Protection One and World Kitchen. In addition, representative business-to-business clients include Regus Business Centers, Manpower, McCain Foods and Cargill.
Prior to joining the firm, Stewart worked at Heidrick Partners, a boutique executive recruiting firm, as a research associate. He began his career in sales for Ralston Purina Company and also was an account executive for a privately-held promotional marketing organization.
Stewart holds an undergraduate degree from DePauw University and an M.B.A. from Lake Forest Graduate School of Management.
